Archimedes Screw

8mt has made a model of Archimedes Screw in science. It is made out of tubing and cans.

How does it work?
This is the model we made. First we softened the tubing so it can go around the cans. Then we put the small cans of soda together using the duct tape while the tube is in the hot water in a bucket. After that, we used a towel to dry the tube. Then we wrap the tube around the cans. We put some water in the bucket then we put the Archimedes screw in the bucket. Turn the Archimedes screw clockwise so that the water will go around inside the tube, but first you have to put the bucket in an angle so the Archimedes screw can be in an angle too. In the end of the tube at the other side of the Archimedes screw, the water will go out of the tube so the water will drop in the other bucket.

How can you make it better?
I think we can make it better if its not manual and get something to turn the Archimedes screw around. Also if the bucket is in an angle.
